What are the Heart Rate Chronotypes?
You may already be familiar with the terms night owl and early bird or morning lark to describe different circadian rhythms. In a similar way, the animals below have been chosen to represent different types of heart cycles.
Due to the lack of information about multiday heart rate cycles, we do not know the average HR cycle length of any animals, but these animals have other chronobiological cycles that are a similar length to the duration they represent.
If your strongest heart cycle is...

5-9 days (approx. one week) long,
your HR chronotype is the worker honeybee.

10-18 days (approx. two weeks) long,
your HR chronotype is the butterfly.

22-38 days (approx. one month) long,
your HR chronotype is the clownfish.

64-104 days (approx. three months) long,
your HR chronotype is the elephant.

more than 180 days (approx. six months) long,
your HR chronotype is the turtle.

not fitting into any of the above,
your HR chronotype is the chameleon.
